I spoke to some people here and mentioned the legend
-prevalent in Wexford- about the devil taking a bite out of this
mountain when being chased by St. Patrick and then spitting the rocks
out between Kilmore Quay and the Saltee Islands in Wexford to form what
is now known as St. Patrick's Bridge. However the locals here had a
similar legend, with the difference being that the devil spat out the
rocks in Cashel and therefore formed the Rock of Cashel.
