Vision is a great asset and when it is shared it generates great energy in a company, in a community, in a team. Vision is what we dream about and what, deep down, we all want. So it is essential that we have an alive and vibrant picture of the kind of parish that we would like to have. How many of us have a picture of the parish that we would like to have? So let us attempt to paint that picture. First of all we long to be a community. If we stick to the word (community) we want to be a group of people who belong together as one. Of course, we cannot be at one unless we work earnestly at achieving the reality of unity. That means cooperation, working together to achieve agreed goals, putting our feet in the water by taking initiative and staying with the action until results are visible. It is impossible for everybody to be engaged in action. Age and health are obvious obstacles. Yet, if those who can, play their part there can be enormous results especially in realising the kind of community we would like to have. The more people who are involved the lighter the burdens on individuals. Our parish community is underpinned by faith and nourished and inspired by the word of God. Do we want the parish community already described? If you do it is beyond time you were involved and contributing your gifts to building the Body of Christ in this town and country community.

  • The Parish of Bunclody/Kilmyshall shall be a community:
  • Of renewed faith and commitment to Christ expressed in prayer and genuine Eucharistic worship where all participate fully.
  • With deep respect for and interest in each and every person.
  • Flourishing in love, care, support, co-operation, education and communication, building to the unity of the Body of Christ.
  • Reaching out the hand of welcome to all who do not belong to our faith and worshipping community.

Please let your priest know when a family member is in hospital or sick at home
