November meeting in Pastoral Centre on Monday night 13th Nov. at 8:00Ppm. The Competition is for " The Funniest Fridge magnet or Bookmark" Philomena Coleman is our guest speaker who will give a talk and demonstration of crafts .

" We want you to be quite certain, brothers and sisters about those who have died, and make sure that you do not grieve about them, like the other people who have no hope." These are words taken from the second reading of this Sunday’s mass. It is St. Paul’s Letter to the Thessalonians. St Paul Assures us, over and over again, that we have great grounds for hope in the resurrection of Jesus. "We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and that it will be the same for those who have died in Jesus. " At the centre of or hope is that if we don’t belong to Jesus during our time in this world, then we have the assurance that we will have life with Jesus be-yond this life and await the resurrection of the dead at the end of time and return of the Risen Christ. That is the final blessing of salvation that is laid out for all of us.

November is the Month of the "holy souls" when we pray for our loved ones who have gone before us. We remember them, we call them to mind, we renew our love for them by our prayer. Our prayer indicates our hope, but also our failure to be certain that those who have gone before us have reached the immediate presence of God, and now enjoy the blessings of heaven. Our prayer keeps alive our contact with them. It is good to pray to them confident that their closeness to God will enable them to support us and lighten our burdens. With them we belong to the Communion of Saints.

  • The Parish of Bunclody/Kilmyshall shall be a community:
  • Of renewed faith and commitment to Christ expressed in prayer and genuine Eucharistic worship where all participate fully.
  • With deep respect for and interest in each and every person.
  • Flourishing in love, care, support, co-operation, education and communication, building to the unity of the Body of Christ.
  • Reaching out the hand of welcome to all who do not belong to our faith and worshipping community.

Please let your priest know when a family member is in hospital or sick at home
