Let’s talk Family! Let’s be Family As part of our preparation for the World Meeting of Families in August the three parishes of Bunclody, Ferns and Kilrush are organising Six Sessions of Input and Discussion in order to enrich Marriage and Family Life. This will take place chiefly during the weeks of Lent on Thursday Nights at 7:30pm. Good speakers on Marriage and Family Life will offer the input on video for about 20 minutes. Then there will be small group and larger group discussion to enable people to understand the message better. We also advocate that members of family would bring their recollections home and have discussion in the heart of the family or between married partners. We are following the materials offered by the organisers of the World Meeting of Families.

The First Session takes place on Thursday next, February 8 in the Parish Pastoral Centre, Bunclody. All are welcome and encouraged to come. It is a great opportunity to learn about and think about marriage and family life. There is also a three parish mission from March 4-8 to help us make good preparation for the great event that touches our country this year.

  • The Parish of Bunclody/Kilmyshall shall be a community:
  • Of renewed faith and commitment to Christ expressed in prayer and genuine Eucharistic worship where all participate fully.
  • With deep respect for and interest in each and every person.
  • Flourishing in love, care, support, co-operation, education and communication, building to the unity of the Body of Christ.
  • Reaching out the hand of welcome to all who do not belong to our faith and worshipping community.

Please let your priest know when a family member is in hospital or sick at home
