Bunclody ICA - New members needed
It is 70 years since ICA was started in Bunclody. The guild has
always been very active in the parish for all those years. We want to
keep that tradition alive. But, due in no small way to Covid 19 and the
demographic ageing of our members, we are desperately looking for new
members to join our guild. We meet once a month and have a guest
speaker. Sometimes have various crafts, etc at our meeting. We also meet
once a month for coffee and chat in local restaurant. Sadly, if we do
not get new members, we may have to close the guild. If you have 2 hours
to spare, once a month, and to keep the guild open, which was kept going
by so many wonderful women in the past.
Please phone 087 2805426 or 086 8135587

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
This Prologue to John’s Gospel is a piece of poetry. Like all poetry
one of the ways to enter into it is to read it a few times slowly and
let the words and images speak to you.
The prologue proclaims Jesus as the true light come into the world. How
has Jesus, and the message of Jesus, been a light for you in your life?
The prologue also affirms the transform-ing power of faith: ‘to all who
received him… he gave power to become children of God’. How would you
describe the difference it makes to you to have faith as part of your
In Jesus we get a glimpse of God and of the love of God. But as ‘Jesus
people’ in the world today we also are called to be witnesses to the
light. Who has been a witness to you? To whom have you been a witness?
